There are some mornings when no matter how hard we may try, we can’t seem to pull ourselves together. Maybe you slept through your alarm or burned your toast, or maybe you stubbed your toe on your bed. We’ve been there and we know what it feels like to begin your day with a rough start — and so does Disney!

All aboard the hot mess express!
During a recent trip to EPCOT, we noticed that quite a few major rides were having trouble opening. Let’s take a look!
Three of the most popular attractions in EPCOT were listed as “Temporarily Closed” in Disney World! Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, and Test Track did not get off to a good start. Mama Mia — that’s a lot of rides!

Of course, we had to go and investigate, so we headed over to Test Track. As you can see, there were still guests waiting in line. We’ll keep our fingers crossed that the ride reopens soon for them!

Looks like Cast Members didn’t clear the line!
Now, say you had a Lightning Lane reservation for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, only to discover that the attraction is listed as “Closed.” In the event that the ride goes down, guests with either a Virtual Queue reservation (the free version) or an Individual Lightning Lane (the paid version) will automatically receive a Multiple Experience Pass, which allows guests to use the Lightning Lane for a variety of other attractions.

Cosmic Rewind was closed, too!
You can either wait to see if the ride reopens later in the day or hop on another attraction!

But wait — there’s more! Over in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, two other major attractions were closed. Both Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway AND Slinky Dog Dash were listed as “Temporarily Closed.” Yikes!

If this happens during your trip, don’t panic! Disney is usually able to reopen its attractions later in the day, so keep your eyes on the My Disney Experience app for updates.
UPDATE: About an hour later, all the attractions were up and running! This just goes to show you that patience is key when it comes to ride closures — there’s a good chance that those rides will reopen.
In the meantime, we’re always on the lookout for the latest Disney news, so stay tuned for more!
