Okay, we’ve seen our share of strange treats in Disney World.

And no, we’re not talking about that bizarre gummy worm mac and cheese. We’re not talking about that strange-looking Orange Bird cookie, that ugly pretzel we still can’t stop thinking about, or that drink with A REAL OCTOPUS TENTACLE IN IT. Nope, we’re talking about a Starbucks treat that’s already made its rounds on the internet and is making people scratch their heads. 

We were just making our way through Disney’s Hollywood Studios when we stopped by Trolley Car Cafe for a refreshing Starbucks beverage (this is the Starbucks location in the park). Then, we were baffled by the strangest-looking Cake Pop we’ve ever seen. No, really, you HAVE to see it to believe it.

One of these things is NOT like the others

What is it? Is it a cat? Is it a bird? Is it some kind of weird creature we have not yet ever seen? What’s going on here? And what is UP with those eyes? Is this thing suffering from a severe existential crisis? Bet you’ll never guess what it’s SUPPOSED to be.

Internal screaming

Here’s the thing — this cake pop is available at Starbucks locations across the country. And it is NOT a cat or a bird or some weird hybrid creature dreamed up by Disney Imagineers. Nope, it is a…bumblebee. Yes, it looks NOTHING like a bumblebee, but that’s what Starbucks is calling it. That’s what it’s SUPPOSED to look like. 😹

So if you happen to see this fellow for yourself, now you know it’s supposed to be a Bumblebee — a Bumblebee that, apparently, has cat ears and a serious case of side-eye.
