BIG UPDATE Revealed About the Transformation of Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel

Beginning stages of Pixar Place Hotel

Disneyland Resort has undergone some massive projects lately! Splash Mountain will close soon to make way for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, a restaurant has closed to welcome Tiana’s Place, new Disney Vacation Club villas are being added to the Disneyland Hotel, and San Fransokyo Square is expected to be completed later this year, but one more significant change is starting to gain momentum!

Back in 2022, Disney announced that Disney’s Paradise Pier hotel would be getting a massive overhaul. We later learned that the hotel would be renamed the Pixar Place Hotel.

The updated hotel will have a Pixar theme (as you might have already guessed). Chairman of the Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products division, Josh D’Amaro, has said that Pixar Place Hotel will be a spot where you’ll feel like you’ve stepped into a Pixar art gallery and find new interpretations of your favorite Pixar pals!

There will be a Finding Nemo Splash Pad, Pixar touches in various spots, a new flagship restaurant from Great Maple (a Southern California favorite), and more.

Thus far, Disney had announced that the Great Maple restaurant in the hotel would be opening in the summer of 2023, but Disney hadn’t announced when the entire hotel transformation would be over, but now we have an update.

Scott Gustin recently shared via Twitter that Disney has plans to finish this reimagining soon.

In his Tweet, Scott mentions that Ken Potrock, president of Disneyland, said that Disney expects the transformation to be completed by THIS WINTER.
