Things are changing all over Disney World!

Disney has filed some permits that could point to future ride and hotel changes, a big change has been announced for a Hollywood Studios ride, TRON Lightcycle / Run is now open, Park Pass rules have changed for Annual Passholders, and more updates are on the way. And recently, we spotted a change at Space Mountain you’ll want to know about.

Space Mountain already got an update in recent months when its shiny new floor debuted in part of the queue, but now another change has hit this popular ride or rather has hit the exit for this popular ride. For a long time, the exit for Space Mountain has been re-routed due to the ongoing construction within the gift shop at the ride’s exit.

That gift shop (renamed Tomorrowland Launch Depot) has reopened, featuring the new interactive TRON experience and plenty of TRON merchandise too. But something else in this area has changed now. The Space Mountain exit now leads guests right to the gift shop, rather than outside or around it!

So once you finish your adventure through the stars, you’ll exit right into Tomorrowland Launch Depot and have the chance to do all the shopping you want there.

Here’s a look at the updated exit path. You’ll go past some exit scenes right after your ride on Space Mountain ends…

…and make your way back to “Earth.”

Then, you’ll hit some more “standard” walkway paths…

…before going under a light feature…

…and other parts of the hallway.

And finally, you’ll land right inside Tomorrowland Launch Depot!

Again, inside Launch Depot, you’ll now find some parts of the new experience where you can create a custom TRON action figure with your face and voice. See full details about this experience here.

There’s also some TRON merchandise inside which you can pick up, whether you’ve been on the new ride or not. Mobile Merchandise checkout is available via the My Disney Experience app for the merchandise here, so look into using that to SKIP the checkout lines!
