Don’t Be Surprised by This Mishap We Experienced in Disney World!

When at Disney World, there are a lot of ways to get around in between the parks, Disney Springs, and Disney hotels.

There is the Disney World Skyliner that goes to EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, and various resorts. Of course, there is the Monorail that takes guests from the Transportation and Ticket Center to Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, and a few Disney hotels. What happens when one of the Disney transportation vehicles is down?

Today at the Transportation and Ticket Center we experienced this hiccup. The monorail to EPCOT was down. A Cast Member told us that there was one monorail train broken down and it would need to be towed off the rail.

They will also have to tow a new train out on the rail before it can begin operating again.

But, have no fear if you are at the Transportation and Ticket Center and looking to head to EPCOT, there are still buses running to the park.

We’re not sure how long it will take before the EPCOT monorail is back up and running, but this is an important issue to keep in mind for your next trip. We don’t see major problems like this pop up too often, though it’s still a good idea to have a backup plan in place!
