Registration Dates Announced for Moonlight Magic Events in Disney World

After Hours events are a great way to spend time in the Disney World parks. You get to experience Disney World with much lower crowds, shorter lines, and cooler temperatures!

Moonlight Magic is on its way!

Sometimes guests are treated to special additions, like complimentary drinks and snacks and special character interactions. Moonlight Magic nights are unique After Hours events for Disney Vacation Club Members, and if you’re a DVC Member who has been looking forward to these upcoming dates, make sure you have your calendars ready for registration!

Back in January, we received the 2023 dates for Moonlight Magic for each of the different parks. Registration usually opens a few weeks ahead of the actual event date, but we don’t know the exact registration dates for the entire year until they are released. Now, we know exactly when DVC Members can begin registering for the next few dates!

Moonlight Magic will be held in Disney’s Hollywood Studios on May 11th and September 13th. If you have a pre-existing hotel reservation for either of these dates then you qualify for early registration! Early registration opens on April 4th and all resort and/or party modifications must be finalized before April 2nd. If you don’t have a reservation yet, general registration opens on May 3rd for the May 11th Moonlight Magic and on August 31st for the September 13th date.

Hollywood Studios after hours

Moonlight Magic will also be held in Disney’s Animal Kingdom on July 11th and August 2nd. Early registration for both dates begins on June 14th, with final modifications due by June 11th. Regular registration begins on June 21st for the July 11th event and July 19th for the August 2nd event.

Moonlight Magic doesn’t stop at the four main parks — the water parks get in on the action too! Typhoon Lagoon will have its own Moonlight Magic events on May 23rd and August 23rd. Early registration applies for guests with existing reservations at Disney-owned and operated resorts in Florida or reservations at Disney’s Vero Beach Resort. Early registration begins on April 26th. All other guests can register for the first date on May 11th and the second on August 9th.

Remember, registration is first come first serve, so guests with existing hotel reservations will get first dibs! Be sure to act quickly to get the spots on your wish list. So far these are all of the dates for Moonlight Magic that Disney has released this year, but stay tuned to our site for more updates and any potential new dates that could be added!
