Never has a Disney popcorn bucket caused so much drama and scandal as the Figment popcorn bucket in EPCOT. We should have known how popular it would be based on the hype it got on social media once it was announced, but no one was prepared for the 6-hour-long wait times or eBay re-sales going for hundreds of dollars.
The bucket was released at the 2022 EPCOT Festival of the Arts, and Disney has announced that it’ll return for this year’s festival as well (that festival begins on January 13th)! So how will Disney avoid the chaos of last year’s Figment bucket distribution? Don’t worry — this year, they’ve got a plan.
When the Figment popcorn bucket was first released, the only way to get one was to wait in a multi-hour line at the Pop Eats! booth and hope that supplies lasted until it was your turn to purchase. The bucket was then re-released a couple of weeks later, and at that time it was available on Mobile Order so that guests wouldn’t be stuck waiting in long lines and could instead order one through the My Disney Experience app.
This year, Disney is going to use Mobile Order once again for the Figment popcorn bucket distribution. A Cast Member told us that they would also use a virtual queue, but for now, only the Mobile Order option is appearing on the My Disney Experience app.
So if you’re hoping to get your hands on one of these popcorn buckets, you’ll need to open the My Disney Experience app and search for “Figment Popcorn Bucket” or “EPCOT Souvenir Release.” The bucket should pop up, and you can then choose an arrival window and how many buckets you want. You’ll pay for the bucket (it costs $25 this year) and place your order!
Once your arrival window opens, you select “I’m Here, Prepare My Order.” When you receive a notification that your order is ready for pick-up, you’ll head to the Mobile Order pick-up window at the Odyssey pavilion (between Test Track and the Mexico pavilion) to pick up your bucket.
Disney notes that guests can submit one Mobile Order each day for up to 2 popcorn buckets.
We were able to Mobile Order our buckets this morning at 7AM EST, and we did NOT have to be inside EPCOT to order them.
We’ll keep watching for more Disney news, and we’ll have FULL coverage of the first day of the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts, so stay tuned to DFB for all the latest updates!

So last year all I wanted was the tomato soup and cheese sandwich from Pop Eats but couldn’t get it because of the popcorn bucket. Now this year when I want the cider flight it’s at the same place where the buckets are being sold. I just can’t win!
Where do you go on the app for the queue to get in line for the popcorn bucket
DFB Sara:
Can you please confirm that your information is accurate? All other news outlets are reporting that the. Ucket will only be available through Mobile Order. And only 2 per account per day.
I looked on the App and the Bucket is indeed in the Mobile Food Order section.
Is this something that could change overnight and the app will refresh in the. Orning to Virtual queue?
Thanks
