A Disney’s Hollywood Studios Attraction Has Been CLOSED ALL WEEK

UPDATE: The attraction opened mid-day on January 6th, 2023.

This weekend, many runners have arrived for the 2023 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend.

Racers might be disappointed today

Unfortunately, over in Hollywood Studios, a different race isn’t going as planned.

Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy is a show featuring the star of Cars that many parents of little kids like to frequent as a welcome indoor break during a long day in Hollywood Studios. This week the attraction hit a road bump, and the Racing Academy has been showing as temporarily closed on the My Disney Experience App.

This morning around 11:30AM we asked a Cast Member if they knew when the ride will be up and running again and they responded that they weren’t sure and just stated maintence. Right now, My Disney Experience is still showing it’s temporarily closed, with no updates on wait times or any other clues. The attraction has been closed for multiple days in a row with no real answer as to why.

While we don’t know why the attraction is closed or when it will be up, we are keeping an eye on it and will update our site with any news. Stay tuned!
