2 New TV Specials Honor Disney Legend Barbara Walters

While this week has been one of holiday celebration, we were saddened by the news of Barbara Walters’ death.

The journalism pioneer and Disney Legend died on December 30th at the age of 93. She will be honored with two TV specials airing January 1st, and we’re sharing how you can watch them.

ABC has announced the two, all-new specials will air on the broadcast network, and they will be available the next day streaming on Hulu.

“Our Barbara: A Special Edition of 20/20” will include an interview with Disney CEO Bob Iger, as well as clips of Walters’ most iconic interviews, and never-before-seen behind-the-scenes footage.

It will air on ABC at 8 p.m. Eastern on Sunday, January 1st, and be available for streaming on Hulu on Monday, January 2nd.

The second special, “The View Honors Barbara Walters,” will share highlights of Walters’ decades on “The View” as host, show creator, and executive producer.

“The View Honors Barbara Walters” airs on ABC News Live throughout the weekend, including on Sunday, January 1st at 8AM, 11AM, 2PM, and 5PM Eastern. It will be available to stream on Hulu at a later date.
