Sometimes it’s hard to believe that Disney World’s 50th anniversary celebration is still going on.
Cinderella Castle for the 50th Anniversary
Sure, we’re reminded every time we look at Cinderella Castle, and see all the gold character statues, and 50th merchandise. But we’ve already tried all the 50th anniversary snacks, right? Or have we? Well, a NEW 50th anniversary snack turned up and surprised us!
We spotted a new 50th anniversary treat! It’s the Shimmer and Glimmer Earl Grey Cupcake. Okay, that sounds interesting. It’s an Earl Grey cupcake topped with orange buttercream frosting, celebratory shimmery sprinkles, and a 50th chocolate coin.
A NEW 50th anniversary treat!
We’ll start with the frosting — it’s very whipped and SO creamy. Although it says it’s an orange frosting, we didn’t get a very orangey taste from it. But we liked that it was subtle! YUM!
That frosting, y’all.
The cake itself is moist and has a great flavor — not too spicy or anything like that. It tastes just like Earl Grey tea! That combined with the subtle frosting is a PERFECT flavor combo.
