Disney is known for its innovation and its work in utilizing the latest technology to give guests and fans an immersive experience. From virtual hotel room assistants to technology hiding in patents and permits, Disney is working on a lot of things to put you at the center of popular stories.
Just recently, Disney announced a new immersive experience touring the US and Canada where guests will be able to step INTO their favorite Disney movies. But now another immersive experience has announced and it’s one Encanto fans can’t miss!
Disney is partnering with CAMP to let guests step into the world of Encanto and explore the Casita and the rooms of the family Madrigal!
Like other similar exhibits, guests will have to buy tickets for a specific date and admission time. Each ticket gives guests an hour to explore the home of La Familia Madrigal, from the secret passageways to the floral and rainforest wonderlands of Isabela’s and Antonio’s rooms. Bruno’s room is there, too…we just hope we don’t have to climb all of those stairs!
It’s a real-life Casita with secret passages, “interactive magic,” and even a few surprises, mixed in with live music! Throughout the “narrative adventure,” guests will be guided by a CAMP Counselor. You may even get to climb, slide, bounce, and dance around.
At the end of the exhibit, merchants will have some custom-made, exclusive goods inspired by Disney’s Encanto for guests to check out, including clothing and handmade flower crowns. These are exclusives you’ll only be able to get from the CAMP experience!
The experience will first be available in New York, but the CAMP website notes, “like all CAMP experiences, Disney’s Encanto will head to one of our other locations soon.” The NYC experience is set to open on October 13th and last through early 2023.
When it comes to live characters, CAMP notes that guests will only be able to see and interact with characters through “digital animation.” So don’t necessarily expect to see Bruno in person (who we actually got to meet at Oogie Boogie Bash!).
Tickets vary in price, so check the dates and times available! You can also shop some of the Encanto x CAMP items on the CAMP website right now.
Disney is giving Encanto a lot of attention, and we may find more representation in the parks, soon too, based on some areas potentially teased for Magic Kingdom.
As we get closer to 2023, and the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Walt Disney Company, we know there will be even more to look forward to, including a huge celebration in Disneyland. Stay tuned to DFB, and we’ll keep you updated on that, too!
