There is a TON of stuff you can do on Disneyland Resort’s mobile app.
You can mobile order food, make Lightning Lane reservations through Genie+, check wait times, see park hours, and so much more. And, Disney is adding even more to the app to help you make your trip even better. A NEW feature is coming soon that will make losing your car in Disneyland a thing of the past.
The new car locator feature is coming to the Disneyland app later this month! We previously knew it would be arriving this year, but now we have a better idea as to when that will be. Get ready to use it sometime in October!
This is a complementary feature on the app presented by State Farm. It uses Location Services to find and save your parking information at the Mickey & Friends and Pixar Pals parking structures, as well as the Toy Story and Simba parking areas.
The feature works best when you enable your Location Services on your phone, as well as your bluetooth technology and notifications. However, if you don’t have Location Services on, you can manually enter your parking details into the app’s feature.
This is a super helpful tool to have, especially after a LONG park day when you can barely think straight, let alone remember where you parked your car.
The Car Locator feature has already made its debut in Disney World on the My Disney Experience app, so we’ve been able to test it out ourselves! When you park, you press the “Save Vehicle Location” button or you can manually enter the car’s location yourself. If you use “Save Vehicle Location,” the app will use your current location to get information about your car’s whereabouts.
Then, when it’s time to go back to your car after leaving the park, we opened up the app, selected the Car Locator feature again, and it showed us our car’s saved location! You can also adjust the location when you first enter it if the app has it listed as incorrect.
For more on Disneyland, check out how your Genie+ purchase will now include something MORE in Disneyland, the NEW Boba Fett ears we spotted in Disneyland, and an UPDATE on the transformation of Paradise Pier Hotel at Disneyland Resort.
