There’s a LOT going on in Disney World right now!

It’s Halloween season, which means there are a bunch of fun foods available, as well as spooky decorations and Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. EPCOT’s Food and Wine Festival is still going on, and we’ve also seen some new restaurants, like the BoardWalk Deli. We check out the parks all the time to see what’s going on, so let’s take a look at what’s new in Disney’s Animal Kingdom!

Animal Kingdom Food Updates

Kusafiri Bakery

It’s Hispanic and Latin American Heritage Month and Disney World is celebrating! There are a bunch of new food offerings, including the Impossible Empanadas over at Kusafiri Bakery. They’re made with flaky Latin dough filled with plant-based picadillo for $9.99.

You can find the Impossible Empanadas from September 15th-October 15th.

Restaurantosaurus

There are some new items over at Restaurantosaurus as well! First is Cuban Sandwich, which is made with roasted pork, sliced ham, Swiss cheese, yellow mustard, and pickles served on buttery Cuban-style bread with French fries for $11.99.

The second item is the new Encanto-themed Tres Leches Cupcake. This is a plant-based treat, and it’s made with a vanilla cake soaked in almond, coconut, and oat milk, plant-based cinnamon, swirls of whipped icing, and passion fruit boba. There’s also a white chocolate piece on top featuring Antonio, Chispi, and Pico! You can get this one for $5.99.

This cupcake is also available at Flame Tree Barbecue and Pizzafari in Animal Kingdom.

Nomad Lounge

Nomad Lounge got some new items for the celebration as well. Take a look at the menu below, which included the Cuban Frita Sliders for $16, the Birria Tacos for $15, the Chocolate Tres Leches Cake for $14, the Blood Orange Pisco Sour for $14, and the Sangria Roja for $13.

We tried out two of these items, starting with the Birria Tacos! These have braised veal, Oaxaca cheese, lime Tajin, and consommé to dip the tacos in. Ours also had onion in it that wasn’t mentioned on the menu.

We also got the new Cuban Frita Sliders, which were beef and pork patties with crispy shoestring potatoes and a side of mojo yuca fries. There’s also some kind of sweet jam-like sauce on the sliders that isn’t mentioned on the menu.

These items are only available from September 15th to October 15th.

Animal Kingdom Construction Updates

DinoLand U.S.A.

There’s a little bit of construction going on in DinoLand — over at Dinosaur, Aladar is still behind shrubs. He’s been like this for a while, so we’ll keep an eye out to see if anything changes!

We also saw that Dino Diner is completely gone. It’s been replaced with bushes and a tarp!

Disney has not shared what’s going on with the space, but we’ll let you know when they do.

Island Mercantile

At Island Mercantile, we found the Disney x Vans slip on shoes with Mickey on them, and they also have the lace up Walt Disney World vans!

These are both $69.99 each.

Mombasa Marketplace

Finally, in Mombasa Marketplace, we saw this new The Lion King hoodie for $44.99.
