Another popular Pixar movie is getting a sequel!
Over the years, Pixar has created lots of sequels and spin-offs for some of its most popular movies. This has treated us to some super creative stories and new characters in movies like Finding Dory, Monsters University, and Lightyear, to name a few! And now, we have another Pixar sequel to look forward to!
Disney/Pixar has announced that a sequel is currently in the works for the 2015 film Inside Out! That’s right, Inside Out 2 is officially a GO!!
The first Inside Out film features five personified emotions — Joy, Sadness, Disgust, Fear, and Anger — of a young girl named Riley. The story follows the emotions as they help Riley navigate her life after her family moves across the country to San Francisco.
According to Disney, the sequel will feature Riley as a teenager, and there will actually be NEW emotion characters! And get this, Amy Poehler is back!
The movie is currently set to be released in theaters June 14, 2024.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Amy Poehler explains more about the new movie.

We do this because it’s important to us as journalists to ensure not only that we give you unbiased opinions, but also that you can trust us to do so since we’re paying our own way. On rare occasions, when we are invited by a company to attend a preview as media, and when we choose to accept that invitation, we will always make you, our readers, aware of that situation. We were invited by Disney to attend D23 Expo as media.
