Medals REVEALED for Disney's 2022 Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend

If you’ve been following along here recently, then you know that we’ve been in full EPCOT Food & Wine Festival mode!

We tried SO much food at the festival on the opening day, we checked out all the new merchandise collections, and we even stopped by to watch one of the Eat to the Beat concerts! But we’ve still got several more months of festival fun to enjoy, including the upcoming 2022 Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend in November. If you’re planning on running in one (or all) of the races this year, Disney released a look at the medals!

First up, there’s the Wine & Dine 5K, which is themed to Pixar’s Coco! The medal to match has not one, not two, but THREE guitars, as well as a photo of Miguel from the film. How fun!

Next in line is the Wine & Dine 10K! This race is themed to Raya and the Last Dragon, and the matching medal is pretty cool. The outside features Raya with her famous wavy sword, but on the inside, you’ll find her dragon friend Sisu. The dragon scales around the outside of the medal add a special touch to the design.

For the Half Marathon, the medal is inspired by Pixar’s Soul as well as The Soul of Jazz: An American Adventure exhibit that’s currently located in the World Showcase. The center puck of the medal spins around, with the race name and Joe Gardner on one side and the 50th Anniversary logo on the other. Of course, the outside edges are decorated with music notes!

And finally, we’ve got the 2022 Disney Two-Course Challenge Medal featuring Genie from Aladdin. The outside is an Arabian-inspired gold lamp design, but you can open it up to find Genie congratulating you for your 19.3-mile trek! What an accomplishment!

The 2022 Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend takes place from November 3rd through November 6th. During that time, you can probably expect higher than usual crowds at EPCOT, especially because it’s a weekend event. We’ll make sure to keep you updated with what we see during those dates!

If you’re interested in running, we encourage you to check out the runDisney races that happen on Walt Disney World property multiple times a year. Guests who participate get the chance to see the parks early in the morning, meet characters, and enjoy a really unique experience while getting some exercise. A word of warning though — they book up extremely quickly, so you’ll want to register as soon as it drops to the public!
