REVIEW: EPCOT’s New Cookie Has an Ironic Secret

Karamel-Küche is one of our FAVORITE places to get caramel treats in Disney World.

Time to EAT

From a boozy caramel flight to the favorite Gingerbread Salted Caramel Cookie Sandwich, any caramel-lover would be happy just to step inside this sweets shop in EPCOT. And today we found a NEW treat here!

Truthfully, we visited EPCOT’s Karamel-Küche just to smell the caramel (seriously, one of the best smells in Disney World), but look what we found! It’s a NEW cookie, the Werther’s Caramel Marshmallow Cream Whoopie Pie for $5.99!

NEW treat alert!

This cookie comes with marshmallow cream and caramel drizzle sandwiched between two chocolate cake “cookies.”

This treat was VERY chocolatey but it also managed to be very light, too! The marshmallow cream wasn’t overwhelmingly heavy and it was sweet without being TOO sweet.

This wasn’t a treat that melted all over our hands in the Florida sun, but the marshmallow cream did get a little melty, and we noticed that there was very little caramel, which was kind of ironic (and disappointing, given that it did come from a spot known for those caramel treats).

Chocolate lovers would probably enjoy this but if you want a heavy caramel flavor, this won’t quite do it for you.

Cut in half

Head to Karamel-Küche in the Germany pavilion in EPCOT to give this cookie a try! And while you’re there, we recommend trying the Original Caramel Flight for $6, which includes four alcohol-infused homemade caramels! Sadly, the Gingerbread Salted Caramel Cookie Sandwich is only available seasonally, but you could give it a try when it (hopefully) returns sometime this fall.
