There’s just something special about the flavor combination of sweet and salty.
Maybe that’s why some of our favorite Disney World snacks combine those flavors: we loved the Monte Cristo at Plaza Restaurant, we adore ANYTHING with peanut butter and chocolate, and we even liked the Deviled Egg Ice Cream from Salt & Straw. So now we’re back with another sweet and salty treat and this one takes it OVER THE TOP.
This new snack has arrived just in time for Father’s Day. It’s the Dad’s Favorite Snacks Tart and it’s a Chocolate Tart with Coconut Macadamia Topping, Dad’s Favorite Snacks (Potato Chips, Snickers, Popcorn, and M&M’S), Rum Chocolate Caramel Sauce, and a Chocolate-Dipped Bacon piece on top.
To say there’s a lot going on here is an understatement.
There’s A LOT going on here 👀
Dad’s Favorite Snacks Tart includes: chips, Snickers, popcorn, M&Ms, rum chocolate caramel sauce, and (of course) chocolate covered bacon 😅
Are these truly dad’s favorite? 👍 or 👎 pic.twitter.com/KpqRoEj9UH

But here’s the thing. These aren’t just Dad’s favorite snacks — they’re our favorites, too! Those toppings were DELICIOUS!!! There’s a nice crunch with the peanut M&Ms, as well as from the popcorn (and honestly, we didn’t expect it to taste as fresh as it did). The potato chips are those nice thick kettle chips, and although they were a little stale, that salty and oiliness was SO good.
Also, BACON. We’re already fans of Chocolate-Covered Bacon. It’s a maple-smoked bacon half-dipped in dark chocolate. It’s a bit chewy, but also has those crispy ends that good bacon has. The only thing we didn’t LOVE was the coconut on top because it tends to overpower everything. We would’ve preferred maybe another salty snack, like a potato stick. It also gave everything a grainier texture. We just sort of pushed the coconut off before we got to the tart.
The chocolate tart almost has a mousse-like texture, which we loved with all that crunch. It’s made with dark chocolate with just a hint of caramel flavoring to sweeten it up.
So if you’re a fan of sweet and salty flavors, make a beeline over to Kona Cafe or Capt. Cook’s at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort while this limited-time treat is still available (through June 19th) for $6.29.
If you want MORE of that Chocolate-Covered Bacon, along with some other delicious dipped bacon treats, you can pick those up at Kona Island, also at the Polynesian Village Resort — we’re also big fans of the Dark Chocolate Cinnamon Pecan Bacon there!
