REVIEW: The SECRET Spot To DIY a 50th Anniversary Treat For Only $6 In Disney World!

The resort is known for its amazing food, beautiful interior, and some really cool experiences, like an exclusive nighttime tour of the savanna! Not to mention that you can see a variety of animals wandering around the savanna at all times of the day and night. And, if you’re paying the big bucks to stay at this Deluxe Resort, you might be spending some extra time lounging around rather than taking to the parks at every second. One of the more unique ways to soak in the atmosphere is to head to the nightly campfire at the Arusha Savanna Outlook. Here, you can roast marshmallows while looking out at some of the amazing animals that live at the lodge. And, while you can spend the evening roasting marshmallows for free, there’s one CHEAP way to upgrade your experience!

You can opt to make your campfire s’mores just a little more “Disney” with the 50th Anniversary S’mores Kit! It is available for $6 and comes with marshmallows, graham crackers, chocolate, a 50th Anniversary Chocolate coin, and EARidescent sprinkles all wrapped up in a Disney World 50th Anniversary bag.

Now, this isn’t any old s’mores kit — we could tell from the second that we opened it that it was FAN-CY! Like fancy in the way that you only pull these puppies out when you invite your in-laws camping with you and really want to impress them.

Here’s what was inside!

The marshmallows are smaller and square-shaped and taste a little less sweet than the normal marshmallows you could probably find at the grocery store. These things were just as gooey though, so be ready to get your hands dirty!

The graham crackers were also a bit bougier than the ones we were used to. They were much softer and had more of a gingerbread flavor than your typical graham cracker. The sweet spices in the cookie were definitely giving us a holiday feel. As for the chocolate, there wasn’t anything too special about it (but it was good!), and the 50th Anniversary chocolate coin and EARidescent sprinkles made the treat feel all that more special!

The assembly process for these S’mores was messy, to say the least, but it was really FUN!

This is such a fun and unique experience, and we’ll take as many Disney World S’mores we can get! If you’ve never been to a campfire at one of Disney’s resorts, we’d definitely suggest checking this out — you might even be able to find this offering at more than just Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge! Just note that the fire tends to be pretty far into the pit, which can make roasting a little harder, and you’ll need to follow Disney’s campfire rules like no dropping things into the fire and no waving the roasting sticks around.

And, it’s not just campfires and s’mores that you’ll find at the Disney Resorts — there are A LOT of activities going on daily that you may not know about.
