It may no longer be Mother’s Day, but the celebration hasn’t stopped!
Tons of new treats popped up around the Disney Parks for Mother’s Day, like this beautiful cupcake, this treat combo, and a mimosa dessert! And even though Mother’s Day has passed, we’re still not done trying Mother’s Day treats, as some are still available! So we went to Disney’s Port Orleans Resorts to try the Mother’s Day Cupcake!
We tried the Mother’s Day Cupcake from Sassagoula Floatworks & Food Factory and Riverside Mill in Disney’s Port Orleans Resorts. This cupcake is a Lemon-scented cupcake filled with fresh blueberry compote topped, vanilla buttercream, and fondant flowers.

The Mother’s Day Cupcake
We’ve been waiting for a cupcake of this density to appear in the parks! Most cupcakes that we’ve tried on property are too light, fall over when you cut into them, and are unable to hold up their icing. But not this one! And while the cupcake was nice and thick, but it wasn’t too dense!

Nice and Dense
The blueberry compote in the center added a tartness to the cupcake that was a great contrast to the sweet icing. There were also chunks of blueberries, which we enjoyed. The cupcake soaked up the compote, preventing the cake from being too dry.

The Blueberry Compote
While the cupcake was lemon-scented, we couldn’t taste lemon at all. We were hoping we would, as it would have taken the flavor to the next level.

Would Have Liked More Lemon Flavor
So if you’re looking for a treat with fresh fruit flavors — other than lemon — make sure you head over to one of the Port Orleans resorts to try this cupcake! It’s available on Mobile Order through May 11th and costs $5.99!
