EPCOT is getting a new out-of-this-world coaster!
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is opening in EPCOT in just a few weeks, and we were able to ride it today! We’re bringing you all of the news on Disney World’s newest ride, from what the queue looks like to whether or not it will make you barf! But now we’ve got even more news. For some, one of the most important parts of going to Disney World is the pictures (pics or it didn’t happen, right?) and we’ve got the inside scoop on all of the photos you can get at EPCOT’s new Wonders of Xandar pavilion!
There are several photo options in the pavilion, including an on-ride photo, so let’s go through them so you can plan your social media post from EPCOT’s newest ride!
Here’s a closer look of the picture you can get on the ride! Make sure to smile (or give your best silly or scared face!). They added a bunch of spaceships from the attraction and other effects to really give it the complete out-of-this-world feel.
There are two ways to link your attraction photo to your My Disney Experience app. The first way is to enable Bluetooth for the app before you ride, make sure you’ve logged into the My Disney Experience app some time that day, and keep your phone OUT of low power mode. Then, you’ll keep your phone with you when you ride and the photo will be linked! Or you can just wear a MagicBand that is linked to your account!
There are also some PhotoPass Magic Shots in front of the Nova Corps Starblaster at the entrance of the ride! You can get a Nova Cops passport, and there’s a separate Magic Shot with a bunch of spaceships in the air.
You can also get a Magic Shot with the Guardians’ own Groot! The family in this picture doesn’t seem to be too happy he was photobombing their photo, but we still love ya, Groot!
Here’s another look at all of the different pictures available!

We do this because it’s important to us as journalists to ensure not only that we give you unbiased opinions, but also that you can trust us to do so since we’re paying our own way. On rare occasions, when we are invited by a company to attend a preview as media, and when we choose to accept that invitation, we will always make you, our readers, aware of that situation. Recently, we were invited by Disney World to attend their media preview of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. Note that when we attend events as media we are 1) Not required to review that event/food on any of our channels, and 2) Not required to review that event/food favorably. You can always count on DFB to give you a 100% unbiased and honest review of any event that we attend, food that we eat, or beverage that we drink. You can see more in our Disclosure Policy.
