Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa is home to a ton of unique offerings!

Grand Californian Lobby

Most know about Grand Californian’s dedicated entrance into Disney California Adventure and their Halloween and Christmas lobby displays (that smell amazing, by the way)! But today, we tried one of their lesser-known offerings — their Hot Dog of the Month!

The Craftsman Bar & Grill, which resides in the Grand Californian, is where we grabbed the Hot Dog of the Month! Get your taste buds ready, as May’s Hot Dog of the Month is the Gordita Dog! It costs $13, and has a lightly grilled flatbread with a black bean spread, a beef hot dog, melted cheese, crema, pico de gallo, and micro cilantro served with fries.

We gave it a try, and loved the grilled flatbread as the bun. The crema and melted cheese went together perfectly on top of the Gordita Dog, and the cilantro and pico de gallo added a refreshing crunch!

The black bean spread didn’t really add much flavor and had a thick, pasty texture. While we didn’t like the black bean spread, others may not mind the texture!

Overall, we thought it was a great option! Those who like Mexican food may want to give the Gordita Dog a try. It’s only around for the month of May, so be sure to check it out if it sounds good to you! And stay tuned to DFB for the latest Disney news!
