Hugs are back in Disney World, and we’ve been celebrating by squeezing all our favorite characters in the parks!

Hugs are back!
With traditional meet-and-greets back in full swing, we’ve also noticed that quite a few other modified entertainment offerings are returning to “normal” too — even shows! And, while Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular is looking a little bit different right now, another popular show in Disney’s Hollywood Studios has brought something that had been missing for the past two years!
Beauty and the Beast — Live on Stage made its post-pandemic return with social distancing modifications back in 2021. So, you could still watch the story unfold on stage, there just wasn’t any hand-holding involved, and Belle and the Beast remained distanced for all of their scenes. However, this has recently changed and almost all of that distancing is GONE!

That’s right…gone! So, once again you’ll get to see the elegant ballroom dancing between Belle and the Beast and, rather than looking at each other from across the room, Prince Adam and Belle come together in their final scenes.
Plus, we noticed that handshakes were back in the show too!

We love a good handshake
Now, there are still a few differences between the pre-pandemic show and now — Belle and Prince Adam still do not share a kiss at the end. It’s not clear if this will be added back in the future, but this is the closest we’ve gotten to the show going back to what we once knew it as! So be sure to make your way over to Disney’s Hollywood Studios to see the new changes to this show, and, as always, check back here for the latest Disney news!
