To ensure we are equipping our readers with all the information they need, we will continue to report on all travel, safety, and COVID-related news that could impact a Disney Parks visit.
Star Wars fans have been having a pretty excellent year.
We’ve seen some exciting content come out on Disney+, and of course, we can’t forget about the grand opening of Disney’s long-awaited Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser hotel! But over in California, fans are gearing up for the Star Wars Celebration event set to take place from May 26th to May 29th, 2022 — and we’ve got an important health and safety update about the event.
In accordance with current health and safety guidelines and recommendations from the Anaheim Convention Center (where the event will be held), Star Wars Celebration has shared updated information about COVID-19 protocols during the event.
Previously, proof of vaccination was required for every guest attending the event, but now guests will be able to enter with either proof of vaccination OR a negative COVID-19 test.

The Twitter post went on to say that all event attendees will still be required to wear “an approved face covering at all times while attending the show.” The Star Wars Celebration website states that face coverings must “Fit properly and [snugly], fully covering your nose and mouth” and be secure under your chin.
If you’re heading to this event, be sure to check the website for the latest health and safety requirements. And, don’t forget to stay tuned to DFB for more Star Wars and Disney news!
