Still scoping out a spot for a romantic Valentine’s Day date night?
We’ve already taken a look at a few Disney World restaurants that are hosting special events for the holiday this year, and there are several new themed treats over in Disneyland as well! But if you’re not heading into the parks for Valentine’s Day, we just found another great option for a fun date night.
El Capitan Theatre in Los Angeles, California, is hosting a few date nights this year, with a Disney+ theme!
On February 11th and 12th, they’ll be showing the classic rom-com The Princess Bride at 10AM, 1PM, 4PM, and 7PM. Tickets cost $15 each, and they come with a 54oz. bucket of popcorn as well!
Or, if you prefer an animated classic, El Capitan is showing Disney’s Beauty and the Beast (the 1991 version, not the live-action one) on February 13th and 14th. This movie also has showtimes at 10AM, 1PM, 4PM, and 7PM. Tickets cost $15 and include a 54oz popcorn bucket. Head to El Capitan Theatre’s website to reserve your tickets.
If you want to make your date night even more special, you can choose El Capitan Theatre’s Dinner and a Movie option, which includes dinner at Miceli’s Italian Restaurant and a 7PM movie showing. There are tickets available for Dinner and a Movie on all four nights (February 11th, 12th, 13th, and 14th). This event on February 11th and 12th will include 7PM tickets to The Princess Bride, and February 13th and 14th will include 7PM tickets to Beauty and the Beast.
Dinner at Miceli’s Italian Restaurant includes an entrée, garden or caesar salad, dinner rolls, 2 mini cannoli, and hot or cold non-alcoholic beverages. Entrée options are Spaghetti with Marinara Sauce, Spaghetti with Meatballs, Aunt Angie’s Original Lasagna, Eggplant Parmigiana, or Chicken Fettuccini. You can choose to have dinner at 5:30PM (before the movie) or 9:15PM (after the movie). During the showing, you’ll get Ghirardelli chocolates as well!
The Dinner and a Movie package costs $50 per ticket. You can call El Capitan Theatre at 1-800-347-6396 to book reservations for that event.
Make sure to book your tickets ASAP, because spots are limited and we’re expecting the date nights to fill up fast! Keep following DFB for more of the latest news from Disney.
