We’re not gonna sit here and act like Disney’s Hollywood Studios hasn’t had a rocky start to the new year. 

Galaxy’s Edge

We’re just over a week into 2022, and Studios can’t seem to catch a break. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster can’t seem to make up its mind about whether or not it wants to be open, and if we had a nickel for every time a Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge animatronic disappeared in 2022, we’d have two nickels, but it’s weird that it’s happened twice, right?

A few days ago, we noticed that Dok Ondar was missing from Dok Ondar’s Den of Antiquities. That just seems like irresponsible store management to us, but maybe he has a good reason for being out. Then today, we went to go on Millenium Falcon: Smugglers Run, and there was no Hondo Ohnaka!

Hondo’s voice was still playing over the speakers, and we could see him on the screens, but his animatronic wasn’t there! (Which is super disappointing because it’s quite the animatronic!) Of all of the people we expected to be on Zoom calls with this year, Hondo was not one of them!

This isn’t the first time Hondo has disappeared, he took a little summer vacation back in June of last year. Maybe him and Dok Ondar are still out of town seeing their families for Life Day. Hopefully these awesome animatronics will be back soon!
