Happy New Year’s Eve! It’s time for Disney World to welcome a new year.
On New Year’s Eve in Disney World, guests will be able to enjoy dance parties, Disney Springs events, and special New Year’s Eve fireworks. But what are the crowds like on New Year’s Eve? Let’s take a look!
Considering how busy Disney World was the week of the Christmas holiday and this past week, we expected to see big crowds. Plus, all four Disney Parks are fully booked for New Year’s Eve, according to Disney World’s Park Reservation Calendar.
We decided to head over to Magic Kingdom tonight to catch the Enchantment fireworks and check out the crowds. We got on the ferry right around sunset!
We got inside the park about 5 minutes before Enchantment was about to begin, and Main Street, U.S.A. was PACKED!
People were lined up all the way back to the Christmas tree to catch a view of the show.
Then, we went to go see if other parts of the park were as crowded for the show. Moving closer to Tomorrowland, there were still a lot of people around watching.
But, when we walked over toward Fantasyland, there were way less people enjoying the view from behind Cinderella Castle near Mad Tea Party.
You can still catch a pretty great look at the fireworks from back here, you just won’t be able to see the projections on the castle.
But, when we moved more into Fantasyland, we were met with the crowds again!
A ton of people were back here checking out the fireworks, but they started to disperse once the show ended.
Everyone started moving toward the rides.
The streets were very busy with people going toward and away from Fantasyland.
Many people got in line for Peter Pan’s Flight.
Once we moved into Liberty Square, there was still a lot of people hustlin’ and bustlin’.
But, it didn’t feel as crowded here as it did in Fantasyland.
Back out in front of the castle, the dance party was happening!
The DJ was up on stage and the crowds were gathered to jam out and dance!
This is one BIG dance party!

We moved back down Main Street and went to go check out how busy The Emporium was.
And, it was pretty busy! Gotta get the last of that holiday merch, right?
Back out on Main Street, it definitely wasn’t as busy as when the fireworks were happening, but there were still a lot of people around!
Now let’s head on over to EPCOT to check out the celebrations! We headed into World Showcase and there was a silent DJ dance party happening in the U.K. pavilion!
If you don’t know what a silent DJ dance party is, it’s basically exactly what it sounds like — everyone dancing around to silence! Except, it’s not silent for the dancers, because they have music playing in their headphones.
Cast Members were handing out headphones for guests to partake in the party.
You can actually change the color of the lights on your headphones, and it changes what DJ you’re listening to!
The party people were having a super fun time!
And, the U.K. pavilion was pretty packed!
We headed toward the France pavilion, and there were a significant amount of people walking around the World Showcase.
The France pavilion was busy too, with people hanging around the fountain.
Moving further back into the pavilion, there was a long line for L’Artisan des Glaces — people trying to get some delicious ice cream before midnight!
And, there were a TON of people waiting to grab some pastries from Les Halles, too!
