Last year, Bob Iger announced that he would be stepping down from his position as CEO of the Walt Disney Company.
He remains Executive Chairman of the company until the end of 2021. Iger was the CEO of Disney for 15 years and had major accomplishments like acquiring Pixar, Marvel, and Lucasfilm as well as opening Shanghai Disney Resort in China. Recently, the former CEO visited Disney World, and decided to share some appreciation for the cast members!
This morning, Bob Iger tweeted about his recent trip to Disney World. He said he had just spent 3 days visiting the resort and was reminded of what makes him so proud of the company — the cast members! Take a look at his message below:
Just spent 3 days @WaltDisneyWorld & was reminded (yet again) what makes me so proud of @disney…our cast members! Thanks for taking care of me all these years. Thanks for your talent, your commitment & the gratitude you expressed. I am deeply grateful to all of you!

Oh, Bob — what a sweet message! We, too, are super grateful to the cast members of Disney. They work so hard to make experiences magical for people. So, let’s follow in Bob’s footsteps and send a shoutout to all the amazing cast members of Disney!
Bob Iger will be replaced as Chairman of the Board of Disney by Susan Arnold, who has been on Disney’s board for 14 years. Iger recently gave a lengthy interview to CNBC, where he spoke about things like why Disney+ needs more content and why he made the decision to step down from Disney. Iger has also been spotted having some fun outside of the Disney universe — he recently gave the weather report on KABC Los Angeles!
