Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade is an iconic holiday parade that made its return this year at the new Very Merriest After Hours event! This year (up until now) this parade has only been available at night as part of the Very Merriest After Hours entertainment lineup, but that changes today.
Starting today, Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade will be shown during the day to ALL guests in Magic Kingdom for a limited time!
Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade will be shown at Magic Kingdom at 12PM and 3:45PM on December 22nd-29th and at 12PM and 3:30PM on December 30th-31st. Times are subject to change, so be sure to check on those during your visit.
This morning we saw that a special viewing spot for the parade was actually available through Disney Genie+.
We booked our spot through Genie+, went to the designated spot at the courtyard in front of Cinderella Castle during our arrival window…
…and got into the viewing spot.
Before too long, the crowds arrived.
There were some seriously LARGE crowds near the castle area getting prepared to watch the show.
Having the Lightning Lane space can be a nice bonus as it gives you the best chance to get a pretty good view of the parade without having to stand out for too long and stake your spot. But we still recommend that you arrive as early as possible to your Lightning Lane for this selection to get the best spot.
During the parade, we spotted lots of familiar faces, including Olaf…

…Max in a pretty SWEET car (get it?)…
…Donald and Daisy…
…Anna and Kristoff…
…Wendy and Peter Pan…
…Pluto, and more!
There was also a plethora of princesses on a festive float.
And who can forget the gingerbread characters?!
Finally, you can’t have a holiday parade without Santa! He was looking snazzy atop his float in a beautiful sleigh.
Remember, this parade will only be available for all guests to see in Magic Kingdom for a limited time, so be sure to check it out while you still can! We’re always keeping up with the latest Disney news, so stay tuned here for more.
