It’s the holiday season in Disneyland, and there’s a holiday coming up that we bet you forgot about!

Life Day is happening soon in the Star Wars universe! If you don’t know, Life Day is a Wookiee holiday that celebrates family, joy, and harmony, according to the Wookieepedia. It was traditionally celebrated on the Wookiee home world of Kashyyyk, where Chewbacca is from. Life Day first became known in our world through The Star Wars Holiday Special, which premiered on November 17th, 1978 — one week before Thanksgiving in the United States that year. Then, on November 17th, 2020, The LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special was released on Disney+. And, this year, Disneyland is doing something special for the holiday!

There will be some festive food in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland Park for Life Day this year! Over at Kat Saka’s Kettle, there will be a Potato Hand Pie that’s Tikka Masala-spiced with Mint-Cilantro Yogurt Sauce for $6.79.

You can also get the Black Sesame Macaron which is a Toasted Macaron with Passionfruit Buttercream and Sesame Praline for $5.49.

Kat Saka’s is known for popcorn, so we can’t wait to try these other new foods!

At Oga’s Cantina, dig into a Kaadu Pork Belly Slider that has Skewer Pork Belly, a Bao Bun, Zucchini Sauce, Calabrian Chili Compote, and Za’atar Spice for $12.

There will also be a new specialty drink at Oga’s Cantina for the celebration! The Tarkenian Night Flower will have a Refreshing Blend of Gin and Elderflower Liqueur with flavors of Ginger and Huckleberry, then garnished with a Sweet Hibiscus Flower for $18.

Finally, at Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo, there will be a Life Day Specialty of Pork Broth Noodles available! The dish will have Angel Hair Pasta with Bok Choy, Mushrooms, Roasted Pork, and Yuzu-Tomato Compote in a Pesto-Tonkotsu Broth for $15.49.
