Just like the domestic Disney parks, Disneyland Paris has an accessibility program so that disabled guests can experience the attractions around the park. Now, the resort is introducing a new accessibility program, and we’ve got all the details!
Beginning December 3rd, Disneyland Paris will introduce a new accessibility program so that guests with disabilities and special needs may experience the theme parks according to their own autonomy evaluation.

Currently, the parks use disability categories to determine access to attractions. This change will allow guests to evaluate their own autonomy to determine which attractions they can comfortably experience.

According to Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Disneyland Paris, Daniel Delcourt, “Our guests and Cast Members have always been at the heart of our approach to accessibility. Disneyland Paris is committed to listening and learning from our guests, Cast Members, and accessibility experts to develop new standards of inclusion in the French theme park industry.”

The new program puts guests in the position of determining their own level of autonomy and potential need for an accompanying careperson. The new program features changes that:
- Focus on guest autonomy,
- Increase the number of accessible attractions by revising priority and easy access conditions and evacuation procedures,
- Remove the requirement for disabled guests to be accompanied on attractions,
- And, provide a 25% discount for disabled guests presenting official disability documentation and for one potential accompanying careperson.

Disneyland Paris welcomed more than 125,000 guests with special needs in 2019 and Cast Members with disabilities now represent 5.9% of the total Cast Members at Disneyland Paris, according to the press release.
