Disney’s new Genie program is starting soon in Disney World.
Beginning October 19th, guests can use the complimentary new Disney Genie feature on the My Disney Experience app. You can also pay $15 a day to get Genie+ (the FastPass replacement), which allows you to make reservations at some attractions to skip the line. For the most popular attractions in each park, you can pay a separate fee to skip the lines there (these are not included in Genie+). But some people will get to try the new Genie+ system for FREE on October 19th — find out if you qualify!
If you’re a gold member of D23 (Disney’s official fan club), you can register to get Genie+ for free on October 19th.
The offer is only valid for D23 Gold Members who have a Disney World ticket and park pass reservation for October 19th. If that’s you, make sure to register on Thursday, October 14, 2021, at 1PM ET. You can register by following this link, but make sure you’re logged in as a Gold Member in order to access the tickets. The free passes are limited, so we’re expecting them to run out fast.
Keep in mind that this is for Genie+ ONLY. if you wanted to ride one of the attractions in the pay-per-ride system (the ones that cost extra), you will have to pay the normal fee for those.

Genie+ allows guests to make Lightning Lane (FastPass) reservations at a lot of attractions in the parks (46 across Disney World). For the most part, guests can make those reservations one at a time, and then make the next reservation when the time has passed for their previous one.
If your ride reservation is more than 2 hours away, though, you can make another reservation for a closer time. You cannot re-ride attractions with Genie+ (although you can always use the standby line to ride attractions however many times you want).
Basically, this deal saves D23 Gold Members the $15 fee of Genie+ for its opening day. So if you don’t qualify for the offer or the reservations run out, do not dismay! You can always still pay the $15 to get Genie+ anyways and try it out!
Keep following DFB, because we’ll be covering all the news when Genie rolls out in Disney World next week.
