Sure, you can go to Disney World and eat your fill of chicken tenders and fries (and there’s nothing wrong with that!). But, you can also visit Disney World and eat at restaurants with all kinds of unique and delicious dishes created by celebrity chefs!

In Disney Springs, you can stop by restaurants like Morimoto Asia or Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’. Outside of Disney World, you can grab fish & chips at a spot created by celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay. Soon, you’ll be able to stop by a hotel near Disney World to munch on more treats created by another celebrity chef!

Recently, the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress announced that celebrity Chef Richard Blais will be opening his first Orlando restaurant at the Hyatt Regency later this year! The Hyatt Regency is located near Disney Springs.

Chef Blais was actually the first winner of Bravo’s Top Chef All-Stars. You’ll also be able to see him soon as a co-star of the new Gordon Ramsay/FOX cooking competition called Next Level Chef. He has worked on a variety of eateries around the country, is a James Beard Award-nominated author, and has taken on other roles in the culinary world.

Chef Blais graduated from the Culinary Institute of America and he “trained at The French Laundry, Daniel, Chez Panisse and el Bulli.”

Chef Blais’ restaurant will take over the Hemingway’s space that was within the Hyatt Regency. The new restaurant will have a tropical feel and will offer dinner nightly and Sunday brunch.

Chef Blais has noted that he loves “having fun with [his] concepts and menus and [is] excited about what [they’ve] got in store for this restaurant at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress.” Chef Blais also said, “We’re looking forward to adding a memorable and innovative offering to Orlando’s already incredible food scene.”

Looking to work at this new restaurant? The Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress will be holding a hiring event on Tuesday, October 12th from 10 AM to 3 PM in the Windsong Ballroom at the resort. Available positions include management, cooks, bartenders, and more.
