Disney World’s 50th anniversary is THIS FRIDAY!!

It will be here so soon!

Can you believe it’s almost here?! After all of the anticipation, we’re finally going to get to see the new fireworks shows, new character cavalcade, and so much more. And the Cast Members are getting in on the celebration, too — they just got a new festive addition to their uniforms!

We learned a few months ago that Cast Members would be getting new name tags for the 50th anniversary, and we just saw the first few make their debut in the parks!

Sergio’s Is Looking Snazzy

Today is the first day Cast Members can wear the new name tags, which feature the same “EARidescence” that shimmers on all of the 50th anniversary decorations.

This one goes so well with Juli’s uniform!

Disney Live Entertainment graphic designer Brett Owens helped with the design, saying their team “really wanted to create a special way to say, ‘Thank you!’ to the cast, as well as give them something to have as a reminder they were here for this special time in our history.”

A big thank you to everything Cast Members do!

We love this new design — it really adds a special touch to all of the Cast Members’ uniforms! We’ll be on the lookout for more special additions for the 50th, so stay tuned to DFB for updates.
