Recently, Boma reopened at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, Citricos reopened at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and other restaurants are set to reopen soon!

Now, Disney has announced that ANOTHER spot will soon be reopening with NEW menu items — and this time it’s over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
Kusafiri Coffee Shop and Bakery at Animal Kingdom will be reopening on August 29th! Fun fact: do you know what “kusafiri” means in Swahili? Disney shared that kusafiri means “to journey.” Now you know a random fact you can share with your friends and family the next time you’re in the park!
Kusafiri is Reopening!
When Kusafiri reopens, you may want to take a little journey over there to check out some of the NEW entrees they’ll be offering.
First, there will be Spiced Potato Hand Pies. These pies are made of vegetables and potatoes wrapped in pastry served with harissa aïoli and coriander chutney.
Next up, there will be a Marinated Chicken Flatbread Sandwich. This sandwich is made with marinated chicken topped with cucumber–tomato salad, tahini sauce, and greens, and will be served with house-made chips.

And there will be a Red Chili Hot Dog. This is a spicy hot dog topped with cucumber–tomato salad and harissa aïoli, and it will be served with house-made chips.
So, if you’re interested in grabbing one of these new entrees or simply getting another snack from Kusafiri, you’ll soon be able to do so. We’ll keep an eye out for more reopening news all around Disney World and we’ll let you know what we find. Stay tuned for more updates!
