What’s New in Hollywood Studios: Weird Happenings at the Tower of Terror and a Hades Shirt

Hello to all our DFB friends!

Howdy, partner!

While we’ve been busy covering all the amazing news about the new Star Wars hotel, running all over EPCOT eating everything at the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival and checking out all the cool new Jungle Cruise snacks, we’ve also been visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios to see what’s new since the last time we were there.

So on to the updates!

Legends of Hollywood

For you Hercules fans, we found a brand new Long Sleeve Hades Shirt. It’s blue with graffiti on it, including a graffiti sketch of Hades.

The back has a Hades quote on it in graffiti, “How ‘ya doin’?”

The Dark Room

Although masks are now required indoors again at Disney World, we noticed that select masks are still on sale at The Dark Room — buy one, get one free.

Hollywood Studios Attraction Updates

Twilight Zone Tower of Terror

Something was SERIOUSLY up with the Tower of Terror wait time sign this week. It was glitching and showing different wait times WHILE WE WERE LOOKING AT IT. At one point, it said there was a wait time of 744 minutes! And at another time, the sign said “15?” like it didn’t even know how long the wait time was. Is the sign possessed?

We have no idea…

Cast members repeatedly told us they believed the sign had been — get this — struck by LIGHTNING. This was likely the Cast Members staying in character to cover up the glitch. But it would be pretty crazy if that did happen! We checked a day later, and the sign has been fixed. Where’s the fun in that?
