One of the things coming back are the runDisney events! The Food and Wine Marathon Weekend WILL take place this Fall and next year’s Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend will take place from January 5-9, 2022. Registration for next year’s events opens very soon, and we just found out ALL of the themes for the weekend!!
Next year’s marathon weekend will take place during Disney World’s 50th anniversary celebrations, so the event themes all celebrate Mickey and friends! The Walt Disney World 5K is themed to Pluto…

…the 10K is themed to Oswald the Lucky Rabbit…

…the Half Marathon features Donald and Daisy Duck…

…and the Marathon is all about Mickey and Minnie Mouse!

You can also get a medal for completing Goofy’s Race & A Half Challenge by doing the Half Marathon AND the Marathon for a grand total of 39.3 miles.

Then there’s the Dopey Challenge, which is ALL FOUR races! That’s doing 48.6 miles in 4 days to get that special medal.

General registration for the marathon weekend in Walt Disney World starts on July 27th, 2021 at 10AM Eastern.

If you can’t make it to Disney World for the races, you can also join virtually and run wherever you want! General registration for the virtual marathon weekend starts July 30th, 2021 at 10AM Eastern.
