PHOTOS: There’s a New MOANA-Themed Dole Whip Cone in Disney World!

Guess what today is?

It’s a very special day!

It’s the official reopening day of Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. And although the Polynesian was previously only open to Disney Vacation Club members, it’s now open to EVERYONE. And we’re here checking everything out, including a special new treat!

In honor of the Polynesian’s grand reopening, Pineapple Lanai is offering up a special Dole Whip Cone!

Doesn’t this look amazing?!

It’s the Tamatoa-Inspired Cone, made to celebrate the premiere of the resort’s new Moana-themed hotel rooms! We can’t wait to see them for ourselves later today, but until then, we’ll have this delicious raspberry and orange Dole Whip swirl to hold us over.

The cone portion is topped with white chocolate and gold sugar crystals to mimic the very shiny giant crab for whom the treat is named. (Great, now we’re going to have “Shiny” stuck in our heads all day!) It’s definitely a very pretty cone!

Now THAT is shiny!

But is it worth the $5.99 that you pay? Well, considering we’re HUGE fans of Dole Whip in pretty much any form, we’re going to say “yes!” The combination of flavors is really refreshing (just right on a hot summer day), and the fun sugar decorations make it extra photogenic. The perfect way to celebrate the reopening of the Poly!
