Today we’ve been celebrating Halfway to the Holidays with some BIG holiday announcements from Disney about the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, a new After Hours event, and more. Later this year, you could go on a Very Merrytime Cruise on a Disney Cruise Line ship. These sailings run from early November through December. What festive activities will you be able to enjoy on these Very Merrytime Cruises? Here’s a peek at some of the offerings!

First, you’ll find all kinds of themed holiday decor throughout the ship. The decorations start right in the atrium. As soon as you walk in you won’t be able to miss that GIANT, three-deck-tall Christmas tree!

You’ll also find garlands, poinsettias, shimmering lights, and more holiday-themed décor throughout the ship.

Next, it’s time for a visit from 2 very special guests who came straight from the North Pole. During the Very Merrytime Cruises you might just catch a sighting of Santa Claus himself! Seems Santa needs to do some relaxing on a cruise before the big day.

Guests will also get the chance to enjoy a Disney Cruise Line Very Merrytime Cruises tradition — Storytime with Mrs. Claus.

But, Mr. and Mrs. Claus aren’t the only ones getting in on the holiday spirit. Throughout these themed cruises you’ll also find characters like Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy…

…Chip ‘n’ Dale, Goofy, Pluto, and more dressed in their very best holiday outfits!

The holiday fun extends from the ship itself to Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay. On Castaway Cay, you’ll be able to see some holiday decorations that have a bit of a tropical flair!

There will be a huge Christmas tree, holiday island music, and “snow” flurries.

During these special cruises, there are also themed activities and crafts for kids, holiday merchandise available to purchase, and more!
