PHOTOS: Trader Sam’s New Jungle Cruise Gift Shop Is “Open For Business” in Disney World!

There are a lot of changes happening with the new story being unveiled with Disney World’s Jungle Cruise.

A lot happening here!

And the crazy thing is that Disney didn’t even close the ride to make the new changes — the ride updates have been happening bit by bit every day. We’ve had a lot of fun spotting all the new stuff every time we ride it! We’re excited to see the new characters, new scenes, more backstory, and everything else!

For those of you familiar with the Jungle Cruise, you’ll know that Trader Sam is one of the main characters of the attraction. Recently we reported that his animatronic near the end of the cruise was gone. Instead, he’s getting a new scene with a Gift Shop.

And today, Trader Sam’s Gift Shop is “open for business!”

Trader Sam, the head salesman, is nowhere to be seen, though. But as you can see, he’s collected a wide variety of items lost by previous passengers on the cruise. Hats, socks, musical instruments, knick-knacks… .

We found the “Photo Spot” sign particularly interesting — could this be a future ride photo opportunity? Disney hasn’t shared that at this time, but how cool would that be!
