We’re in the mood for somethin’ to drink!

We’ve been trying lots of boozy sips around Disney World lately, from Dole Whip flights to questionable peach margaritas. But today, we’re heading over to one of our favorite spots on property, Bar Riva at Disney’s Riviera Resort, for a cocktail.

Here, you’ll find the Speziato Riva! It’s $16 and is made with Patron Silver, Ancho Reyes Poblano, agave, lime, and gingerbeer. You’ll also get a tiny bit of muddled strawberry and half a slice of one on top!

First of all, you need to know that this drink is SUPER spicy. It’s SO spicy that the bartender made sure we were okay with that when we placed our order! If you don’t have a high tolerance for that heat, you probably won’t even want to try this.

The strongest taste was the poblano pepper from that Ancho Reyes Poblano. It’s probably the only flavor you’ll really notice! We did get muted notes of the spice from the gingerbeer, as well as a tinyyy bit of tequila as an aftertaste. Meanwhile, the strawberry was almost undetectable, and the lime and agave only contributed a VERY slight sweetness.

As you can imagine from all that, there’s a LOT going on in this drink. But it’s fun if you enjoy tequila and SPICE! Sure, the $16 price tag is a bit high — but it’s made with quality liquors, so we’d say it’s fair.

As a last note, we want to add that our drink was pink…even though the picture is yellow? We’re not entirely sure what caused that, but hey! Don’t be surprised if your sip is pink, too.
