PHOTOS: See What Happened When Something Fell Into a Disney World Animal Exhibit Today

Hello from EPCOT!

Just another beautiful day in Disney!

We’ve been wandering around the park soaking up the Flower and Garden Festival and enjoying the Pride Month snacks — and today, we made a pit stop at The Seas Pavilion! You may know this area as home to The Seas with Nemo and Friends ride…but did you know there’s also a MASSIVE aquarium? And when we popped in, we noticed quite the scene unfolding.

This aquarium features a tank with 2 rescued manatees — and it’s lots of fun to visit them! But today, we realized a guest had dropped something inside the tank.

Oh no!

Cast Members didn’t specify what had fallen in, but we watched them act quickly to get it out. A scuba diver used a lamp and light to sift through the sand at the bottom.

They’re looking for it!

When that didn’t work, they hauled in a vacuum!

Time to take it up a notch!

We watched as the vacuum was used to sweep up whatever was resting at the bottom of the water. Then, everything went back to normal! We felt a little bad that the manatees’ day had been disrupted, but the misfortune was resolved pretty quickly. A word of advice? When you’re visiting these pals, keep track of your belongings so they don’t fall where they shouldn’t!

It sure is interesting to get a peek at what goes on behind the scenes at Disney. We’ll keep showing you more interesting things we find in the parks, so stay tuned to DFB!
