Are you getting excited for Halloween yet?!
We certainly are! As part of Disney’s #HalfwaytoHalloween event, we’ve been sampling all the spooky treats and eats around property…and now we’re kinda wishing it was October! But luckily, we’ve got a few more ghastly goodies to try at Gideon’s Bakehouse in Disney Springs.
We tried 2 treats at Gideon’s today: a slice of Frankenstein Cake and a new Hand Pie! We’ll kick things off with the Hand Pie. That’s an Original Chocolate Chip Cookie, served warm, with a flaky crust around it. And doesn’t it look tasty?!
This snack makes for a fun way to try a Gideon’s cookie with a twist! We found the crust to be both salty and buttery, which paired nicely with that oh-so-yummy cookie. You’ll get the indulgence of your salty-sweet Original Chocolate Chip Cookie, but with a little somethin’ extra. Points for creativity, Gideon’s!
These are available from Monday to Wednesday and cost $7 apiece! You’ll only be able to purchase 2 of these per guest. We really enjoyed this creative way to chow down on a Gideon’s cookie, and we’d love to see other flavors featured in the future.
Now we’re movin’ on to that Frankenstein Cake! Now, we’re BIG fans of the Frankenstein Cookie, and the cake slice is no different. It’s packed with Oreo, cookie crumble, and M&Ms! Um, we’ll take them ALL.
If you’re a cookies and cream fan, this cake is a must-try. You’ll find thick, delicious cookie chunks in there that pair SO well with the M&Ms. This is one we’d get again and again. You can snag it for $9 — but hurry, because this limited-time treat won’t be around long!
As usual, Gideon’s impressed us! We’d go back to try both of these treats again — and we highly recommend you give ’em a taste. We’ll be BACK at Gideon’s tonight to try a secret treat that appears only after sunset…so stay tuned for that! 😉
