Are More Tables Being Added to Oga’s Cantina in Disney World?

Disney World has some very cool restaurants, and some of them are difficult to get into.

It can be a challenge to grab a dining reservation for spots like Be Our Guest Restaurant in Magic Kingdom and California Grill in Disney’s Contemporary Resort. One of the HARDEST to get spots is Oga’s Cantina in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, but could that be changing? Let’s see… .

Oga’s Cantina is well-known as a VERY difficult-to-book spot due to its popularity and to the fact that it is SMALL. There are not a lot of tables in this small cantina space. You’ll spot some booths, a few standing tables, and bar space; but there isn’t a ton of room for guests — especially with physical distancing.

Could Disney do something about this? Maybe. It would be pretty cool for more guests to be seated at Oga’s Cantina at any given time. Well, today, we spotted a permit filed by Disney Imagineering for Oga’s Cantina calling for work to “fabricate and install tables.”

Ok, hold up. Could Disney be adding more seats to Oga’s Cantina? It’s possible! The fact that the permit says “fabricate” means that the spot may be getting entirely new tables. That could mean that the seating arrangements in the tiny cantina could change.

Another possibility is that Disney is replacing tables that already exist. In this instance, we could see refreshments to the booths and standing tables, but it wouldn’t necessarily mean more seating or even that many changes to the way the spot looks.

Still, the restaurant has only been open for a few years, so it seems a little early to need to replace the tables. Perhaps Oga’s Cantina IS getting some updates when it comes to seating!
