Yes, we are BACK with the latest and greatest from the park that combines Star Wars, Toy Story, and the golden age of Hollywood. And we’ve only got a few updates since the last time we were there, so let’s get on with it!

Rosie’s All-American Cafe

We’ve been monitoring the ongoing Heinz ketchup shortage at Disney World recently. We previously noticed that some restaurants now have Red Gold Ketchup packets instead of Heinz. However, this week, we slowly began to see Heinz packets turning back up in the parks — but Rosie’s still has Red Gold.

We’ll let you know if that changes.

We found some new Men’s Boxers at Once Upon A Time. For every man who wishes he were a Stormtrooper, well, here you go… .

Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway

Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway was down while we were at Hollywood Studios!

But it was up and running again shortly after!

Rise of the Resistance

It just got a LOT easier to book a Rise of the Resistance Boarding Pass.  Previously, you had to be IN Hollywood Studios to go for the 1PM boarding pass drop (you don’t for the 7AM one). But we were not in the park at 1PM and still managed to grab a pass!

So here’s the deal: Guests can now join that 1PM group from anywhere on Disney property, as long as they have tapped into Hollywood Studios earlier that day. Good to know, especially as the language in the app doesn’t specify this. However, we did confirm this with a Cast Member and we tried it ourselves.

Hollywood Studios Construction Updates

Tower of Terror

Disney just doesn’t put up any old wet paint sign when it’s painting something. Oh, no, they go ALL OUT. And we noticed this when visiting the Tower of Terror. There was a wet paint sign over by the steps that lead up the tower. And it was Rapunzel and Flynn!

This is probably our favorite Wet Paint sign ever!

Hollywood Studios Other Updates

Celebrity 5 & 10

Disney recently upgraded how it keeps tabs of store capacity — something we first noticed at Hollywood Studios. Before Cast Members physically counted guests who enter and exit, using tablets to keep track. But we noticed a strange little machine above the exit of Celebrity 5 & 10. A Cast Member told us this device counts guests entering and exiting the shop, automating the whole system.

The Cast Member, though, did not know if the system was in use yet, and we saw Cast Members manually counting guests at other stores.
