Greetings from Disney’s Animal Kingdom! We stopped by today to try out a new cupcake!
We’re not gonna lie, Animal Kingdom has been bringing it with their cupcake game lately, from the St. Patrick’s Day Cupcake to the Carrot Cake Cupcake for Easter. So when we heard that a new cupcake was arriving to Restaurantosaurus for Earth Month, we CLEARED our schedule to make sure that we shared our thoughts with you!
Introducing the Sea Turtle Cupcake! This little guy is a Graham Cracker Cupcake with Key Lime Pie Filling and Guava Gelée with Vanilla Buttercream, topped with a Fruit Snack Sea Turtle. If you’re Mobile Ordering this treat, you should keep in mind that the description on the app is incorrect (It lists this as a chocolate cupcake). Just a heads up!
Okay, so this cupcake is pretty adorable, right?! But of course, we’re even more curious to find out how it TASTES!
First of all, we’ve gotta talk about that fruit snack sea turtle. He’s adorable, right? But beware: the taste is straight-up bizarre. The gummies are spearmint and peach, and they were by far the strongest flavors in the treat. The combo of mint with lime, vanilla, and guava was just plain weird.

The lime filling was our favorite part, but there wasn’t a lot of it. We would’ve loved to see more! And as far as the guava gelée goes…well, it was just there. And it wasn’t too necessary, in our opinion!
Aside from that tasty lime filling, this was far from the best cupcake we’ve tried in Disney World. The gummies threw off the whole treat, and the other flavors didn’t do much to compensate. But kids may love the fun design! If you want to try it yourself, this cutie patootie is available at Restaurantosaurus for $5.99 through April 29th.
