It’s Earth Month!
All throughout Disney’s Animal Kingdom, there are special, NEW treats, experiences, and more coming this month in celebration of Earth Day. Earlier today we got to try a new drink that basically tasted like we were sipping on cotton candy in liquid form and we got to try another cotton-candy topped creation. But, now, it’s time for ANOTHER new drink, with a very colorful look!
As part of the new offerings coming this month, you can find the Crave the Wave drink over at Restaurantosaurus Lounge in DinoLand U.S.A.
The “Crave the Wave” drink is made of Snow Leopard vodka, Bols Blue Curaçao and Minute Maid Premium Lemonade. The drink is VERY blue, which is fun for pictures. BLUE CURAÇAO STRIKES AGAIN! (Let’s just say, we’ve seen quite a few drinks use this colorful ingredient in Disney World in the past).
With this drink, we especially love the way the drink was presented to us with the citrus slices on the side to form a kind-of hidden Mickey!
But, what about the taste? Well, the drink is tangy and tart from the lemonade, and it’s got a bit of sweetness as well. Despite its pretty intense blue flavor, the curaçao isn’t THAT strong tasting, at least to us.
Our reporter shared that it wasn’t a bad drink, but they’re not sure if they’d personally order it again.
If you like lemonade-based cocktails, we think you’d probably enjoy this. Also, if you aren’t a fan of strong drinks, this might be a good choice for you as we felt like it wasn’t very strong. Generally, we think this could be a good choice for quite a few people.
But, if you’re looking for a really strong drink, this probably isn’t the right choice for you! You’ll want to look for another option for that.
If you’re looking for a colorful, cute drink with a bit of a tangy and tart flavor, you can grab this drink right now at Restaurantosaurus Lounge for $14. It will be available there through April 29th.
We’ll keep an eye out for more new snacks and treats all over Disney World and bring you our thoughts. Stay tuned for more updates!
