Hey, Disney World, What’s That Giant New Wall in Morocco?!

Lots of changes have been made or are coming to spots all over EPCOT.

Ah, The Morocco Pavilion!

Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure and La Creperie de Paris are set to open this year, construction has continued at the Guardians of the Galaxy Coaster, and more is happening with the EPCOT Transformation. Big changes have also come to the Morocco Pavilion, which has been taken over by Disney. And today we spotted something VERY different there.

At the end of last year, we gave you a snapshot of what places in the Morocco pavilion were open and which were closed. While many stores and restaurants were closed then, and remain closed now, guests were previously able to walk around the back area of the pavilion.

But, today things were looking VERY different.

Today, we found construction-type walls blocking our entry to some of the back areas in the pavilion.

Thankfully, we could still say hello to our camel friend, but the areas behind that were out of our reach.

There were walls wrapping around the side areas…

…and through parts of the back.

All Blocked!

So, while some of the walking areas in the pavilion were open, it seems the very back has been blocked off at the moment.

Hmmmm

So, what’s going on here, Disney? We’re not sure why these walls have been put up, but we’ll be keeping an eye out for more updates. Stay tuned for all the latest Disney news!
