REVIEW: This Colorful Cake in Disney World is (Almost) Too Pretty to Eat!

It seems like St. Patrick’s Day was only a few days ago (wait, it was), but Disney World has switched gears quickly and it’s now ALL about Easter!

We found a Thumper egg on our Easter Egg hunt!

We’ve been running ALL over the place eating a lot of Easter snacks, but there are SO many to choose from. And they’ve all been a lot of fun — we’ve seen some cute bunny butt snacks, carrot cake goodies, and more!

Today, we tried a new Easter Cake at the Artist’s Palette at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort, and it is SO CUTE. The colorful cake is beautifully layered with blue, yellow, and pink cake with green “grass” on top.

Why is that not DONALD Duck?

The treat is made of Layers of Lemon Sponge Cake, Strawberry Buttercream, and Fresh Diced Strawberries. Although it was sweet, it was a light kind of sweetness. The lemon and strawberry work together to make a refreshing dessert! The candy duck and egg are on top, along with some pastel Mickey sprinkles — which obviously takes this snack up a level.

We were glad that the cake had some fruity flavors instead of a plain vanilla flavor. This is such a refreshing snack, which is not something you say often about cake! The colors and decorations really couldn’t be more perfect for the first day of spring and the Easter season in Disney World. This is one of our favorite Easter treats we’ve tried so far!

We accidentally broke the duck, though, trying to cut into the cake. Oops!

We found this fun creation at The Artist’s Palette at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort for $5.99. If you want a richer dessert, this might not be the cake for you, but we also think kids will love it! It’s available now through April 5th.
