You know how we know St. Patrick’s Day is around the corner? Everything is turning GREEN in Disney World! 

On menus throughout Disney, drinks and snacks are becoming a shade of shamrock, and the latest sip we found is a boozy sour special — with a popping surprise — at Disney Springs! 

Gone are the pinks of Valentine’s Day and the purples of Mardi Gras, and IN is the bright-green EVERYTHING for St. Patrick’s Day. Disney loves a color palate. 

So far this year, we’ve already tried a St. Patrick’s Day Panna Cotta, an Irish-inspired burger, and of course our beloved Shamrock Shake. But now there’s a NEW shamrock drink in town, courtesy of the Coca-Cola Store in Disney Springs! It’s called the Shamrock Sour, and it lives up to its puckering name! 

The drink of the month for March, this green tipple is made with Fanta Melon Frosty, Jameson Irish Whiskey, Lemon Juice, and for a bit of pop, Green Boba! 

It gets its sour flavor from a hefty dose of lemon juice, but it’s still sweet from the melon soda. 

The Jameson adds the requisite Irish element, but it doesn’t seem to go with the melon flavor very well. If you’re an Irish whiskey connoisseur, you may be confused by the fruity melon flavor here!

Popping boba is always a fun treat, and it works well flavor-wise in this drink, but the straw was not big enough to sip them through! We asked if they had a bigger straw, and they gave us a spoon to eat the boba with.

This is a fun and interesting drink for St. Patrick’s Day, though! And if you like that sour-sweet combo, you can snag one at the Coca-Cola Store for $15 this month.
