Here at DFB, we’re constantly on the lookout for fun ways to incorporate our love of Disney into our everyday lives!
There are plenty of merchandise options out there, like Disney clothes or Disney-themed accessories for your home and kitchen. However, recently we’ve been noticing some people that take it above and beyond and deck out their ENTIRE home. If you’re not quite so dedicated that you want Mickey Mouse in every room, but the idea of living in a fairytale still intrigues you, then you need to see what we found today!
An article on MSN shared some stunning pictures of homes that are truly fit for Disney royalty, and we knew we just HAD to show you. This first house is located in California and is actually designed by Roland E. Hill, the architect behind Disneyland’s Sleeping Beauty Castle!
It’s currently on the market for $2.5 million (WOW!) and is situated in the Hollywood Hills. The outside looks like a quaint cottage, but the inside features medieval architecture elements — more like a castle!
The home was built in 1927 and is 2000 square feet, which you probably wouldn’t have guessed from looking at the front facade. Throughout the house, you’ll find four bedrooms and three bathrooms, and the master suite has a private balcony.
Next on our list is a home built specifically for all the Rapunzel wannabes out there! This Rapunzel-style Tower in Hampshire, UK can be purchased for a cool $3.9 million.
It’s pricey and SERIOUSLY tall, but would ya just look at that view?! Imagine waking up, looking out your window, and seeing THIS…
It’s a four-story tower that’s currently being used as a part-time bed and breakfast. The high ceilings and arched doorways make this home seem regal, and the four bedrooms can be reached by climbing a 330-step spiral staircase. (Maybe not the home for you if you’re afraid of heights!)
Also mentioned is a stunning Mountain Estate in Idaho for $9 million. The outside of this house looks like something straight out of a storybook, and the inside is filled with stunning modern features.
Or maybe you’d actually prefer to have your own castle? Well, the 14th-century Gärsnäs Castle in Österlen, Sweden is currently for sale for $2.4 million!
It has 26,000 square feet of living space and 27 rooms. The current inhabitants mainly live on the first two floors, but you could spread out amongst any of the 11 bedrooms. Can’t you imagine many relaxing hours spent in the property’s orangery? Look how peaceful this seems… .
If you’ve got a smaller budget, then maybe take a look at this Hansel and Gretel-inspired Cottage in Wales. It’s only priced at $554,000, which is a steal compared to the other multi-million dollar homes! 😉 It’s full of charm, and the perfect word to describe this setting is simply “quaint.”
There’s also this petite Chocolate-box Cottage in Swindon for $558,000. It’s only 1000 square feet but offers plenty of charming natural touches.
Last on our list is the stunning chateau inspired by Cinderella herself! This castle is located on more than 16 acres of countryside in Angouleme, France, and is fit for a true queen. It’s currently listed at $2.8 million.
The 11,000 square feet of living space has been recently renovated and the decor makes us feel like we’ve stepped directly into a Jane Austen novel. Imagine the balls you could host at this place!
Well, all we have left to say is…WOW. Those places are truly magnificent and now we’re going to be dreaming about them for the next few days, weeks, months, maybe years. How amazing it would be to live in a literal fairytale castle!
